David’s interest in construction and home building started at a young age when he became involved in assisting a family member build their own home. After graduating from Illinois State with a finance degree he joined a fortune 500 company and began a successful career. Realizing his real passion was in custom home building he embarked on the journey to becoming an entrepreneur and follow his dreams. In 2001, David decided to leave corporate America and dedicate himself exclusively to home building and remodeling. He founded Balo Builders in 2004 and has thrived through the challenging real estate market.
One of his greatest strengths is his ability to understand clients’ expectations and bring them to life. His business background has given him the skill set to successfully manage projects while conforming to clients budgets and deadlines. He continues to demonstrate the same passion and enthusiasm for home building today, as he did with his first project. We consistently stay updated on the latest building industry trends, styles and processes.

JIM BALOGH CO-OWNER
Jim’s first experiences in the building business came from buying condominiums, remodeling them and reselling them while attending Northeastern Illinois University where he later obtained Finance degree. He also joined corporate America and continued his real estate investments part time. After several years he furthered his experience with land development. Having achieved success in land development he expanded into building townhomes, and custom homes. Over the past 30 years, Jim has developed expert knowledge of the technical aspects of the construction process. Jim is a integral part of the building process and manages contractor and vendor relations. His vision along with experience ensures the home is being built to Balo Builders standards. His attention to detail, and uncanny ability to resolve issues is unparalleled.
